For those who don’t: briefly explained, it involves being vegan (eating only plant-derived foods) for the month of January. This is terrific for those who are not otherwise vegan, or even vegetarian - such as me! We may be reluctant to restrict ourselves to plant-based foods throughout the year, but if it’s just for a month, we can give it a go - whatever your motivation: whether it’s for the animals, the environment or just your own health. . I’ll be sharing more recipes/photos/videos on the theme of Veganuary all this month, so do follow along if you like. :) Note: not affiliated with the official movement @weareveganuary . About me: A former Paris-trained pâtissière from Tokyo who is now a mother and housewife living in India. For my toddler son to always have healthy snacks, I experiment with my pro recipes to make them healthier - making them low in sugars and fats, replacing white flour with whole-wheat flour, and also taking out eggs because often our guests in India are vegetarian. Sometimes, I take it a step further and make the recipe entirely vegan. These latter recipes are the ones I’m sharing with you here. .
