As a brand that connects with people all around the world, I think about you, and I wonder if you really understand what’s happening and why it’s happening. Because in order to change, you need to understand the real problems. It’s not only about the current events of injustice, but it’s also largely historical. It’s the story of how slavery was abolished but after a system was designed and put in place to continue the oppression of black people in this country after they were so called “free”. What was happening then made lasting effects on our society today. The Jim Crow era wasn’t that long ago. I believe that the only way we can truly get out of this and move on as a country is through radical change. We need to pass new hate crime laws. We need new black leaders and people who work in our best interests and aren’t puppets because sometimes we can be our own worst enemies. Activation with education. Educate yourself if you really care. The problems are diverse, so we as a people need to diversify & conquer to unfuck the world. Also, the sadness & anger that once really stood out has since shifted into a bit of bullying. You can’t make this up! Don’t lose focus of where to target your energy and what this is all about. It seems people are more concerned with what and how you’re posting than what you do year around. Let’s focus on helping each other be better. Posts can be camoflauge for action by people who don’t really care. Once this settles down, the real work starts. ✌🏾❤️
