He has done it. UTMB reigning champion @paucapell has completed the iconic Tour du Mont-Blanc (TMB) course, running solo with a time of 21hr 17min 18sec. Running without the presence of competitors, the 2019 UTMB winner felt compelled to take on the course and inspire all those who continue to face challenges in this difficult year, including all those runners who were unable to take part. Considered as one of the most challenging and prestigious trails in the world, the trail consists of a gruelling 171km and 10,000 metres of elevation gain, taking in some of the most breath-taking parts of the Alps and crossing France, Italy and Switzerland in the process. Competing alone, with just a tiny support crew of his close team ensured the health and safety of others, but also made this run as much a mental as physical challenge and required all of Pau’s strength and expert preparation, right down to the smallest of details.
