We officially have a date for Jax’s assessment for early intervention next month. I’m so excited to finally have some answers and direction as a parent. It has been such a process and a lot of paperwork, but I’m feeling really thankful! And I want to express that to all of you. THANK YOU ❤️I didn’t realize we could do early intervention through the school district until I shared our struggles in this space and our difficulty finding an affordable occupational therapist. So THANK YOU. • It has been a journey. Parenting is hard, but I feel confident that Jax needs this, and so do we. Jax especially struggles in expressing his big emotions. They often come out in anger and it can be overwhelming. Candle baths are key in helping him calm down 🛁 He is aggressive with his body, very particular and likes things orderly. Every night he has a special routine different from Charlize and Sawyer, but we have learned the value in keeping to the routine. He is smart. And loves freeways. He likes joking around and playing tricks. He is loud and opinionated, which means one day he will be a very strong man who knows what he wants. He is such a loving boy with a bright personality and I look forward to sharing the next steps with you all as he grows and we grow as parents😍 • We have also been advised to have Sawyer assessed, so we are in paper work mode. 🤯 But we are doing what we have to do to advocate for our kids and help them (and us) cope, learn, and grow ❤️ Thank you for your ongoing support.
